Cain Manor Ceremonies & Receptions

Wedding Ceremonies

Cain Manor has two options for a civil wedding ceremony. This venue is idyllic whatever the season, offering a warm and cosy ambience for indoor weddings throughout the year, especially the winter months and magnificent grounds and gardens to enjoy an outdoor wedding ceremony during the spring and summer.

Romantic wedding ceremonies in the Music Room

The Music Room at Cain is a triple-height oak-beamed, barn-style licensed wedding ceremony room. It boasts stunning cathedral-style windows that fill the room with warm, welcoming light and overlook the gardens, the meadows and ultimately Surrey’s Golden Valley. The Music Room can seat up to 123 guests for civil ceremony celebrations and benefits from a spacious Minstrels’ Gallery which can host a harpist, pianist, wedding singer or string quartet to accompany your wedding vows. Typically, you will exchange vows and rings in front of the cathedral length windows, providing incredible and memorable photographic opportunities throughout the duration of your ceremony. Large double doors open out into the courtyard garden for reception drinks and canapés ahead of your wedding breakfast.

An outdoor country garden wedding

Cain Manor is set amongst beautiful country grounds and a perfectly kept courtyard, offering some of the most remarkable views of any wedding venue in Surrey. The lovely garden sits at the very peak of the hill upon which Cain Manor lies. If you choose to get married outdoors, the signing of the register itself takes place under cover of the pergola and your seated guests form an aisle facing towards it, through which your wedding party will proceed. When it comes to musical entertainment for your outdoor ceremony, consider hiring a string quartet, a small group of wedding singers, or a pianist playing tunes on a transportable keyboard in order to create a perfect ambience. Once your ceremony has come to an end, you and your guests can enjoy the country surroundings ahead of the wedding banquet to follow. The vast gardens at Cain provide a great space for younger guests to run around and play giant garden games for entertainment.

Receptions

Whether you choose to get married in a local church or hold a civil wedding ceremony, Cain Manor offers a warm and welcoming ambience making the perfect barn-style venue to host your wedding reception.

Wedding reception drinks in the Library

The Library serves as an excellent second room during the course of your wedding celebrations at Cain Manor.

Newly refurbished, the Library is a cosy, oak-filled room with a welcoming fireplace, access to the bar and entry to the Courtyard Garden for summery evenings. Your guests can mingle here ahead of your wedding banquet and enjoy the use of this room once your meal is over and the evening festivities commence. The Library is also a perfect space for your additional evening guests (if any) to gather and mingle ahead of the Music Room being re-opened in preparations for the first dance.

Evening wedding reception festivities in the Music Room

Tables are set up and prepared in the servery next to the Music Room to enable a rapid turnaround during reception drinks and photographs, between the ceremony and your wedding banquet. After the wedding breakfast, with teas, coffees and truffles being served in the Library in order to get everyone out of their seats and get the blood flowing in preparation for a dance or two, the Music Room is once again swiftly turned around in order to host the music and dancing and entertainment the evening. The warm and welcoming Library, which also houses the bar, serves as a cosy, intimate mingling space and can also host any extra entertainment that you’ve laid on for your guests – photo booths, cheese tables or long-overdue family catchups.
