Tell us a little about yourself?

First and foremost I’m a wife and mummy to two beautiful little people. As a family we’re always out having fun, exploring woodland walks and finding nice pubs and cafes for good food & drink. When I’m not tied up with hectic mummy duties I’m always investing in my love for all things beauty whether that’s searching Instagram for creative ideas or having an online splurge for new products to add to my kit. I’m a real girly girl & weddings are what I adore the most, especially working at such fabulous venues. I’m so lucky that I get to be a part of somebody’s special day almost every weekend!

Why should a bride use a makeup-artist?

Getting married is a magical once in a lifetime experience and my advice to you would be to take advantage of this – relax and let others look after you whilst you take in every second. Not lifting a finger is part of the fun, let your hair and make-up artist work their magic by enhancing your natural beauty and bringing out your best features.

Do you offer a trial and how long does this usually take?

Always. A trial usually takes between 2-3 hours depending on if the bride is having hair, make-up or both. Plenty of time to sit back, relax and have a girlie chat about all your wedding plans, whilst we create the perfect look – with complimentary bubbly in hand.

What brands do you use?

Charlotte Tilbury, MAC, Estée Lauder, Urban Decay, Benefit, MakeUp Forever, Iconic, TIGI… The list goes on!

How far in advance should a bride book you?

At least a year in advance is always recommended to secure your date with low risk of the date already being taken. However last minute enquiries are always welcome as sometimes odd dates are left available. I also have a small select team of super talented Artists I use to assist my larger weddings and to take on bookings I can’t fulfill, all of which share a very similar style and ethos to myself.

What is the best reaction you have had from a bride and her bridal party after doing their wedding day make-over?

It’s so hard to choose just one, but the best reactions I’ve had have prompted elated shrieks of delight, happy tears and cuddles (from bride and her maids!) – cautious ones of course so as not to spoil the hair and make-up!

What are you favourite trends?

When it comes to make-up I love dewy, fresh looking skin with that beautiful sun-kissed glow. The ever evolving brow trend is also a real obsession of mine, I am loving the defined yet brushed up full, fluffy brow which is so current right now.
With hair I adore anything romantically undone, teased and twisted, looking effortless yet stunning.

If you were getting married, what look would you go for and why?

For my own wedding I wore a Berry lip with a soft smokey eye and a touch of sparkle. I added eyelash extensions to complete the look, which is something I also offer. If I were to do it all again I’d probably go for a nude lip as that’s my favourite staple right now and there are so many gorgeous nude shades out there to choose from.

If you could do the make-up of any celebrity, who would it be for and why?

I’d love to work on the beautiful faces of Meghan Markle & Holly Willoughby, firstly because their styles mirror the type of make-up I love and secondly to get some insider gossip on the royal family and the celebrity world! I’d also love to get my hands on Amanda Seyfried’s luscious long blonde locks.
