I live in France and shoot weddings across the UK and Europe. I’ve shot over 1000 weddings, written a best-selling book on wedding photography and my work has been featured in magazines and blogs worldwide.
Your Story Beautifully Told is my mantra. Stunning, natural documentary images mixed with beautiful groups and portraits, that won’t take you away from your guests for too long. My aim is to bring your day back to life again through my pictures. My groups and portraits have a very elegant, modern editorial feel. My groups look like they’ve stepped off the pages of Vanity Fair. My couples shoots are relaxed, I choose gentle direction as opposed to anything cheesy.
I blend in. I’m calm, professional and flexible. I work hard for my clients; I want to surpass their expectations.
I shoot digitally.
Canon cameras and lens.
My clients receive everything in both colour and black & white.
I offer a range of albums and books, everything is tailored to each client individually.
They can book one. I’ve won awards for my engagement photography and it’s something I really enjoy. My aim is to make sure my clients feel relaxed before the wedding and give them a set of truly stunning images of the two of them.
Within a month, often much sooner.
As soon as possible, I only take on a limited amount of commissions per year to ensure my customer service is first class.
A timetable, a list of group pictures and up to date contact details
I’m not into trends really. As Yves Saint Laurent once said ‘Fashions fade, style is eternal’.
Hopefully unplugged weddings! Exiting the church under a tunnel of iPhones or seeing my friends and family constantly starring at screen all day is not something I wanted at my wedding. I had an unplugged day – I wanted people to spend the day enjoying and participating, not capturing. I hope that idea will spread – it makes a huge difference.
Experience is key. How long have they been going, how many weddings have they shot? I wouldn’t want to spend the whole day posing, I’d want a few elegant groups and portraits but I’d want to get on and enjoy the day and trust that the photographer was going to deliver images to help me relive it. I’d read Google reviews – if they don’t have many, why not? I’d also ask to see a whole wedding. It’s easy to get a few hero shots – it’s much harder to be consistent wedding after wedding throughout the whole day.
