How would you describe your wedding photography style and what makes you unique?
Documentary, romantic, authentic moments from your wedding day. I am usually capturing moments without clients really noticing me, however, I will give direction for group photos and couple shots. I try make them as relaxed and fun as possible the wedding party enjoys them. My editing style is classic, bright, timeless - using mostly natural light. My images are punchy and represents true colour from your day. I am unique as I have so much more to offer than a photographer delivering images. I often end up being a big help in the day. Whether it’s running errands, calming the Bride, orchestrating certain parts of the day, I am able to multitask and still capture everything. Often couples tell me I ended up being a great friend to them. Weddings can be a rollercoaster of emotions and I seem to have a calming presence

How would you describe your working style?
Romantic, cinematic and timeless imagery edited with warm and earthy tones

Do you shoot digitally or with film? Or both?

What type of equipment do you use?
All Canon prime gear. I have back up bodies and many lenses and flashes. Top of the range quality and full cover legal, public liability and equipment insurance.

Do you shoot in colour and black and white?
90% colour, 10% B&W on average but couples can request more.

What can you offer couples? Can they customise the package with you?
I have 3 packages. Breakdown and prices very clearly stated on my website. If they are having a wedding on an ‘off peak date’ I offer 15% off. Pre wedding shoots can be arranged.

Do you include an engagement shoot?
It can be arranged.

How long after the wedding will the couple receive their proofs?
4 weeks, often less, never more.  My contract states 30 working days.

How far in advance should couples book you?
Its not uncommon for me to have weddings booked 2 years in advance. But usually a year at least is a good idea. I turn away many busy dates due to already being booked.

What information do you need from the couple before the wedding day?
2 weeks before their big day I would email and request confirmed addresses, names for formal group photos (optional as I can organise this on the day if they don’t get round to doing it) + their basic itinerary for the day so I know timings. Balance would be due by the end of the wedding day as stated in my contract. Usually I take 50% deposit to secure the wedding date.

What are you favourite trends?
I have taken a conscious decision to not follow trends (like instagram filter style for example). I like a lot of trends but I think it’s imperative to offer consistency in my style and not divert to trends as they change so often. I edit and deliver images that will be timeless when looking back in 20 years etc… (Eg, sepia was all the trend many years ago, now it looks horrid ;) )

If you were getting married, how would you choose your wedding photographer?
Tricky question, but top priority would be, ample experience with weddings ot just photography, top equipment/backup/insurance, superior client references, an adaptable personality with lots of charisma. Big passion for their job.
