Cain Manor - A Country House Wedding Venue on the Surrey-Hampshire Border

Our country house wedding venue in Hampshire, Cain Manor, offers a warm and welcoming ambience in which you can celebrate your wedding reception. The venue itself is private and secluded, being located at the end of a long, private drive that winds from the main road through dense woodland to the top of the hill, where the stunning country house sits. It has beautiful, extensive landscaped grounds that make it truly special for weddings on sunny days, but has also been delicately reconfigured internally to make it utterly non-reliant on fine weather. With roaring fires and deep, warm furnishings, it is equally magical when covered in a thick blanket of snow. Whether you choose to get married in a local church or hold a civil wedding ceremony at the venue, Cain Manor is the perfect barn style venue in which to host your elegant wedding reception in Hampshire.

Wedding Receptions in the Barn Style Music Room

The Music Room combines many of the best elements of a barn-style, country house wedding reception venue with the quality and modernity that you would expect from a Bijou Wedding Venue. Clean, sharp lines and glass are combined with traditional oak floors and beams to create a magical barn-style wedding venue that can seat up to 123 guests for your wedding banquet. Tables are set up and prepared in the servery next to the Music Room to enable a rapid turnaround during reception drinks and photographs, between ceremony and your wedding banquet.

Wedding Reception Drinks in The Library

The Library serves as an excellent second room during the course of your wedding celebrations at Cain Manor. It is a cosy, oak-filled room with a welcoming fireplace, access to the bar and access to the Courtyard Garden for summery evenings. Your guests can mingle in the spacious Library ahead of your wedding banquet, and enjoy the use of this room once your banquet is over and the evening festivities commence. The Library is also a perfect space for your additional evening guests (if any) to gather and mingle ahead of the Music Room being re-opened ahead of the first dance.

Food and Drink at your Wedding Reception

As a member of the Bijou Wedding Venues family, our barn wedding venue in Hampshire benefits from the experience of Bijou’s hugely experienced brigade of expert banqueting chefs. Banqueting catering is a very specialist branch of the hospitality industry and requires specific processes and practices. The Bijou Chefs are full-time specialists who only work in Bijou’s banqueting kitchens. Our menus and kitchens are designed with banqueting in mind and in the knowledge that each dish needs to be served in large numbers, at top quality, in very short spaces of time. Of course we also maintain relationships with our suppliers in order to serve what we serve at the best possible price.

Evening Wedding Reception Festivities

After the wedding breakfast, with teas, coffees and truffles being served in the Library in order to get everyone out of their seats and get the blood flowing in preparation for a dance or two, the Music Room is once again rapidly turned around in order to host the music and dancing and entertainment the evening. The warm and welcoming Library, which also houses the bar, serves as cosy, intimate mingling space and can also host any extra entertainment that you’ve laid on for your guests - photo booths, cheese tables or long-overdue family catch-ups.

Licensing at Cain Manor

Cain Manor in Hampshire is licensed for serving alcohol and the provision of entertainment as well as for the celebration of wedding ceremonies. Due to local restrictions it does not benefit from access to a Late Licence but, once your non-resident guests have departed, the bar can be opened up again for nightcaps for overnight residents.
