Tropical Wedding Theme: Styled Bridal Shoot

A styled bridal shoot with a tropical theme styled by Bijou Partner Charlotte Munro

Styled bridal shoot featuring a wedding dress by Amanda Wakeley from The Bijoutique

If you’ve got your eye on a summer wedding date then there’s no better time than now to start your hunt for your dream wedding dress. There are thousands of incredible wedding gowns on the market to choose from, but to inspire you, check out the styled shoot in the gallery below, featuring a sensational gown by Amanda Wakeley.

Stylist Charlotte Munro created the ultimate summer wedding vibe together with a team of creative suppliers and one, alluring summer gown. Aisha by Amanda Wakeley was the focus of the styled shoot; she oozes contemporary elegance and would work beautifully if you've chosen to get married at a country house wedding venue. Aisha by Amanda Wakeley is a stylish, silk gown with a cross at the back, allowing the guests witnessing your nuptials to admire the beauty of your gown as you say the words that will change your future.

The styling team married Aisha with a stunning floral hair piece with a hint of pink, drop earrings, pink lipstick and an over-sized bouquet of tissue flowers. A burst of colour was used to decorate the backdrop of the styled shoot which highlighted the feminine wedding dress perfectly. It’s also a great gown to wear for a destination wedding and would be sensible and easy to transport, regardless of where you plan to tie the knot.

We Love: the luxurious silk, elegant train and eye-catching detail on the back of this pretty wedding gown by Amanda Wakeley.

Aisha complemented Nicky’s bridal style perfectly and she couldn’t have chosen a gown to flatter her figure more. Click here to read the full real wedding story.

Things to Consider when Shopping for a Summer Wedding Dress

Wedding Shoes

Whether you’re choosing high heels, peep-toes, flats, wedges, kitten heels or fancy flip-flops, the length of your wedding dress will need to be right, according to the height of your shoe. Take shoes the height that you plan to wear on your wedding day with you when going to wedding dress shops for appointments.

Wedding Underwear

If you plan on buying a backless wedding dress or a gown with a cross at the back, like Aisha by Amanda Wakeley, then think about your wedding underwear. If you’d like added support on a gown with detailing at the back, speak to a seamstress about how to enhance the support on the bust of the gown. Wear suitable underwear to your wedding dress fittings and perhaps take a variety of different support wear, as you’ll probably try on a few different wedding dress styles during your search.

Moral Support

Before you book your wedding dress shop appointments, think about who you’d like to accompany you. It may be a given that your mother, sister, Maid of Honour or bridesmaids might want to join you, but be realistic when it comes to the amount of opinions that you may receive. Shopping for your wedding dress should be a fun and exciting experience, but if you’re worried about having too many people in the room with you then just pick one or two people, who you can trust completely when it comes to their opinion.
