From New York Bridal Week to Barcelona, recent launches of new bridal collections have brought a wealth of new styles and trends for fashion-conscious brides. Here we take a look at the top 10 trends seen on the catwalks.

Take the plunge
Plunging necklines have made a statement on all the catwalks this season, from halter necks to illusion necklines, for a more daring look on your wedding day why not take the plunge?

Dresses in Bloom
From 3d flower appliques to colourful floral prints, floral wedding dresses are a new must for brides. Team with a chic floral crown and you’re all set for beautiful blooms on your big day.

Off the Shoulder Sleeves
Showcasing a softer, romantic style, off the shoulder gowns are making a big come-back. From boho gowns to delicate lace, there are a whole host of off the shoulder styles to suit.

Structured Styles
Last year saw the emergence of structured full skirt gowns, and this season is no different. Heavier fabrics such as silk zibeline and mikado are making a big appearance, with designers such as Caroline Castigliano and Stewart Parvin favouring full skirts and dramatic trains.

All in the Details
Beaded embellishments have been very popular in recent years, and it looks like they are here to stay! From subtle sequin details to beaded lace and beyond, these detailed dresses are here to stay.

Lace Edged Veils
Veils have come and gone in bridal fashion over the years, but one firm favourite for this season is a delicate lace-edged veil. Team with a simple dress style for a chic look, or match to your lace gown for the full effect.

Tassels & Trimmings
Extravagantly embellished designs are huge this season, with designer Eliza Jane Howell at the forefront of this trend. From swinging tassels to full feather skirts, these designs are deliciously decadent, perfect for a fashion-forward bride.

Metallic
Metallic details are a fun, glamorous new addition to many designs seen on the catwalk this season. Details such as pewter beading and gold thread embroidery add a modern feel to slinky numbers. Amanda Wakeley is leading the trend with gorgeous metallic details.

A Separate Issue
Have you considered separates for your wedding day? A modern approach to the wedding dress, this trend is picking up the pace with gorgeous styles from Yolan Cris and Katya Katya Shehurina, these styles are perfect for a chic summer wedding.

Illusion Necklines
This style is possibly one of the most popular in this year’s collections. Featuring tulle so delicate it can barely be seen, and often paired with beautiful beading, lace, or floral applique, it’s perfect for the bride that loves the strapless look but wants more support.
